    1. Lifocork Biocomposite TPE

      Lifocork Biocomposite TPE

Lifocork biocomposite materials combine the sustainability, low weight and feel of natural cork with the processability of plastics. Lifocork is suitable for a wide range of applications, with new ideas being introduced every day. Its comfortable feel and non-slip texture make it a good choice for handles and grips, where it has been used in sports equipment, tools and household items. Lifocork has also been used to manufacture bowls, trays, boxes and plant pots and toys. In 2K applications, the material can be overmoulded or co-extruded onto TPE, PP or PE. This allows for sophisticated designs and enhances consumer appeal with the integration of a soft-touch area. Plates, belts, endless tapes and tech profiles can be manufactured from Lifocork via extrusion. You also get a damping effect for orthopaedic shoe lifts by foaming Lifocork. We offer coloured Lifocork compounds or it can be easily coloured using a standard PE masterbatch, opening up even more design possibilities.

    2. Lifolit soft PVC

      Lifolit soft PVC

Lifolit is a family of high-quality, soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds, custom formulated to your requirements. We’ve been developing PVC compounds since 1965 and continue to engineer new solutions to address current and emerging market demands. To address consumer concerns over the potential health and environmental risks of certain plasticizers used in the manufacture of PVC compounds, we have developed the Lifolit range to include several non phthalate alternatives. This helps our customers to comply with tightening regulations governing the use of phthalates. Particularly in the toy and childcare market, where non phthalate compounds have become the industry standard in response to directives such as EU 2005/84/EC. We work with a number of raw materials and plasticizers to give the best performance / cost ratio while always keeping in compliance with the different levels of phthalate use. This includes DEHP free PVC as well as grades that are considered low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

    4. Lignura: wood fiber reinforced biopolymer compounds

Lignura: wood fiber reinforced biopolymer compounds

Lignura is the name of our biopolymer compound, which contains up to 35% wood fibres sourced from sustainably managed forests. Wood fibres are a valuable raw material that are often produced as a by-product of wood processing. We reintroduce these fibres into the material cycle in a way that adds value, thereby saving a significant amount of the costly biopolymer. In addition to the cost savings, the natural fibre also helps to reinforce the compound, thereby improving its mechanical strength. This compound is specifically designed for use in injection moulding. By adding just a few per cent of colour pigments, the compounds can achieve excellent colouration even during the injection moulding process.

    5. LIQUID COLORS Perfectly dispersed colorants on a carrier designed for plastics.

LIQUID COLORS Perfectly dispersed colorants on a carrier designed for plastics.

Liquid colors were designed to make plastic coloring more efficient and therefore more sustainable. For our liquid colors or color pastes, we use commercially available pigments or dyes, such as those used in conventional masterbatches. Special wetting agents and rheology additives ensure optimal distribution of the pigments and stability of the dispersion. This ensures maximum color strength and prevents the pigments from settling for a long time. The actual carrier is a non-volatile, high-molecular system that is optimally distributed in the plastic melt and does not migrate from the end product due to its very good compatibility. If necessary, a bio-based carrier system can be used, e.g. for coloring bio-plastics or recyclates. Our products are manufactured in batches through highly effective mixing. It is dispersed until the pigments are optimally distributed in the carrier. Optional post-processing and filtration of the colors guarantees a particle fineness of up to 1 µm. Since there is no thermal energy input during production, the production-related CO2 footprint is extremely low. No matter whether RAL, NCS or Pantone, whether opaque or transparent, fluorescent or effect pigment - we can fulfill almost every wish! As a member of the COLOR COMPETENCE CENTER, we are well connected to the know-how and resources of the ROWA GROUP and can find the optimal solution even for difficult questions. For a color match please contact us! Of course, you can also purchase monopigment concentrates from us for self-coloring. As standard, we offer our products in the containers shown on the left, but we are also happy to fill them in customer-specific containers.
