      OctaCap by seal-IT Octabin Cover

      The OctaCap® Octabin cover by seal-IT is a foldable aluminum cover for octabins that can be placed on the octabin in a few seconds. The cover weighs less than 10kg and is available in various octabin dimensions. ‍ The lateral edges provide mechanical stability to the cover and the octabin, and allow for the attachment of a material card. ‍ The main benefit of the cover is that it protects the material from contamination. Unnecessary moisture absorption of the material is made more difficult. The holes in the cover can be freely configured with a lid, sight glass or suction lance connection. This stabilizes the suction process, as the suction lance can move vertically, and ultimately saves costs by preventing contamination and machine downtime.

The system is designed in such a way that there is no forced opening when the system pressure is present. Due the one flow canal technology, the effect of stratification and memory effect during injection is prevented.       That OFS-filternozzle is well suitable for technical and reinforced material and shows particular good properties at frequent changes of colour and material. APPLICATION FIELDS: The OFS-filternozzle type S is highly suitable for processing all technical plastic materials. The nozzle is particulary suitable when frequent changes of color and material are carried out. Because of the optimally rheological design, the nozzle is also suitable for reinforced materials. But for reinforced materials, we recommend special coatings. The coatings counteract the abrasive and corrosive attacks of the reinforced materials and increase the life span of the filternozzle.

      That OFS-filternozzle is well suitable for processing non shear- and friction sensitive materials. APPLICATION FIELDS: The OFS-filternozzle type SF is well suitable for processing of unreinforced standard materials (f.e. PP, PS, ABS, PA). That nozzle is not recommend for processing of shear- and friction sensitive materials (f.e. POM, PVC, PC). By changing the flow direction during the injection, the nozzle has an additional homogeniziation and mixing effect.

The regular homogeneity of additives like flame retardant and UV-stabilizer are also a guarantor for high quality plastic parts as colour and thermal mixing. The high blend power of the OFS-mixing- nozzle ensures saving of colour-batches and other additives. STATIC WING-MIXER TYPE FM The static wing-mixer consists of 4 rustproof elements with specifically arranged wings, in order to mix the cast. Each element is arranged in such a way that by combining several elements a complete mixing system develops. This system produces the desired homogeneity through continuous swirling of the fusion stream in layers, which are spread over the whole flow diameter.

STATIC MIXER TYPE XM: The static mixer type XM usually consists of 8 elements with specially arranged bars in order to create an optimal homogenization of the melt. Each element is arranged by the pin-groove connection in such a way that a complete mixing system is automatically created by assembling several elements. By dividing and combining the melt flow multiple times, the introduced materials (batch, additives, ...) are mixed in such a way that the melt is optimally homogeneous in terms of concentration, temperature, ... is achieved. The size and maybe changing number of mixing elements depends on the application, considering the material to be processed, the melt index, the volume flow and the current pressure conditions.

APPLICATION FIELDS: The OFS-needle shut-off nozzle type NVP is used for processing of thermoplastic materials and thermoplastic elastomers. An integrated pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder activated the shut-off nozzle, whereby the needle opens and closes the flow channel. The needle is activated in both directions. For security, the shut-off nozzle is opened through emerging overpressure. The nozzle could be also activated by a machine side rod.

      OFS-RECYLATE-NOZZLE TYPE RDS Due the optimal rheological design, the OFS-recycling-nozzle type RDS is well suitable for processing technical plastics. The melt channel, the transitions are designed accordingly so that no flow shadows, dead corners or impact edges are caused. Because of that, friction and shear-sensitive as well as reinforced materials can also be processed. To increase the lifespan, an anti-wear coating is available as an option, which minimizes the abrasive an corrosive wear. OFS-RECYLATE-NOZZLE TYPE RDSF The OFS-recyclate-nozzle type RDSF is suitable for processing all unreinforced standard-plastics (e.g. PE, PP, ABS, PA). The nozzle is not suitable for processing thermally- and shear-sensitive plastics (e.g. POM, PVS, PC). Due the special design of the filterinsert, the nozzles shows a large filtration surface in relation to the nozzle dimensions.

      This component is used in an engine oil pump. It is installed in a high precision die-cast aluminum housing. By rotating the component around the bearing point (semicircle at the left of the picture), the flow rate of the oil is fully variably controlled, according to the load condition of the engine. The efficiency of a fully controlled pump is significantly higher than that of a permanently driven pump (the oil flow rate corresponds only to the required volume flow). Fuel consumption and CO² emissions are reduced as a result.
