      Barrels

We manufacture barrels in high wear and corrosion resistent quality from Ø 12 – 200 mm, up to a length of 5000 mm. The barrels tasks are static. They have to cope with high levels of pressure and tension when thermally loaded. Borehole surfaces must resist wear and corrosion caused by the processed plastics. The barrel feeding zone can be optimised for each individual application. Our production includes the manufacture of thermoplastic, extrusion, thermoset, silicone and elastomer barrels in the optimal qualities. + Ø 12 – 200 mm + Length up to 5000 mm + High wear resistant + Corrosion resistant + Optimised feedingzone + Individual designs

BASE BLACK: GRAFE develops an efficient alternative for the most common automotive blacks

BASE BLACK: flexible adjustment and permanently available With the new BASE BLACK masterbatch for polypropylene (PP), GRAFE, Blankenhain, has developed an efficient alternative for the most common automotive black shades, which, in addition to its permanent availability - sample quantities are shipped the same day for production tests - also offers a significantly better price level compared to an OEM direct color. In addition, the masterbatch can also be flexibly adjusted. "Our BASE BLACK masterbatch already achieves excellent color values at standard parameters in the production process, which are within the OEM tolerance and only deviate slightly from the direct colors," reports Lars Schulze, Head of Colour Development and Material Sciences, referring to minimal differences when comparing L*a*b* color values at Audi/VW, Daimler, Renault/Dacia, Tesla or BMW, for example. "The development is used for rapid initial sampling and can be brought to the target through process optimization," he adds. "We are happy to support our customers in the final optimization step to the perfect color because BASE BLACK can already be adjusted in the production process by minimal parameter shifts - for example, in dosage, processing temperature, or pressure," explains Johannes Grau, Strategic Accounts Mobility Solutions. "Our product represents an alternative to the otherwise usual detailed settings that are adjusted to the polymer and component," he adds. In addition, it could also reduce warehousing costs.

    4. Bauteiloptimierung – das Optimum aus dem Bauteil heraus holen und Kosten sparen

Bauteiloptimierung – das Optimum aus dem Bauteil heraus holen und Kosten sparen

Form follows function. This sentence should be the first thing you consider when thinking about product design. Components are often designed in such a way that they look good, but do not meet the technical requirements for their actual use and the processing process. Even optical components can only achieve good quality with the help of sensible processes and optimized geometry. Would you like to achieve greater process reliability, greater efficiency in the manufacturing process and avoid the costs of unnecessary development errors, or achieve a higher profit in the long term? Through our component optimization based on injection molding simulation and our experience, we help you achieve greater efficiency and quality in the entire subsequent production chain with significantly lower follow-up costs. The earlier the topology optimization takes place, the more component and process errors can be avoided. Exploit the optimization potential early on to enable good parts to be produced later on during the first sampling. We'll show you how it's done!

    5. Beistelltrockner | Desiccant Mobile Rotor – DMR fahrbar

Beistelltrockner | Desiccant Mobile Rotor – DMR fahrbar

The DMR series ensures maximum energy efficiency and flexibility. Thanks to its dry rotor technology, the compact dryer delivers airflows of 30 to 90 m³/h at a constant dew point of -35°C or better. The design of the drying rotor guarantees high dehumidification capacity without any dust emissions. Standard features: • Constant dew point supply through dry rotor technology • No cooling water or compressed air required • Drying range 60-140°C • Labotek Energy Saving System (LESS) • Drying hopper capacities of 40, 75, 110, 200, and 300 liters • 3-phase mains connection. Options: • Standard conveying units to/from the DMR • Dry air conveying to the processing machine (closed loop) • Built-in dew point sensor • High/low temperature version 40-180°C (cooling water required) • Tropical version for high-temperature environments • Additive trap

Beistelltrockner | Trockenlufttrockner DDM Serie fahrbar

The Labotek mobile dry air dryer series is designed for the continuous drying of free-flowing plastic raw materials in granular form. The DDM dryer is a complete, energy-optimized dry air drying system with an integrated conveying system for the processing machine. It utilizes proven technology, offering economic and energy-saving operation. The standard temperature range is 60-140°C with a deviation of +/- 2°C. A high-temperature (HT) version with a temperature range of 60-180°C is also available. Due to precise temperature control and a dew point of <-35°C, a residual moisture content of less than 0.02% can be achieved (0.002% for the HT version). The DDM series offers... • A footprint of only 0.82 m² • Drying hopper capacities of 60, 120, 180, and 225 liters • Power supply: 3 x 400 V 50 Hz, no compressed air required • Integrated 3-phase conveyor system (SVR) for transport to the processing machine • Prepared for dew point measuring system (optional) • Additional overheating protection
