      YLITE® is an aluminium composite sheet with a polypropylene core and aluminium cover sheets. HYLITE®, in thicknesses of 1.2 and 2 mm is the world’s thinnest aluminium composite sheet. The core material features a special hinge function, i.e. HYLITE® withstands repeated bending without damage. The hinge function is achieved by milling grooves into the two outer aluminium cover layers in an identical position on both sides. RWTÜV has tested the hinge application, bending it 80,000 times without damage.

Idemitsu developed this unique SPS product in our central research laboratories by combining a metallocene catalyst with a styrene monomer. The metallocene catalyst gives flexibility to the structure of the crystallised polystyrene SPS and enables a wide range of possibilities and applications.

It has since been proven to be essential for applications that demand exceptional part quality produced in medium to high cavitation hot runner systems. This unique manufacturing process allows our designers to have complete flexibility when optimizing hot runner performance and helps avoid design conflicts. Mold-Masters designers have the use of patented melt flow geometry, flow path options and runner shapes which includes curved paths. Designers are not restricted to the conventional straight or 90° turns of runner channels produced by traditional gun-drilled manifolds. iFLOW also simplifies maintenance by eliminating the need for any plugs or screws which can easily be misplaced.
