ARO-TEC GmbH
About us
ARO-TEC GmbH is a German company specializing in the fine finishing and optimization of tool surfaces. Based in Kierspe (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company has been offering precise, technical polishing and surface treatment processes for over 30 years.
ARO-TEC's core business encompasses various specialized processes, including:
• Line and high-gloss polishing – for producing the finest surfaces and mirror-like results.
• Flat lapping and circular polishing – for perfectly flat or uniformly round components.
• Polishing under stereo-Dynascope microscopes – for microscopically precise machining.
• Removal of electrical discharge machining (EDM) and etching, as well as surface grinding – for the functional improvement of tools.
We process tools weighing up to 3 tons, including large injection molds and dies. We offer a range of surface finishes that can be selected according to requirements – from functional technical polishes to aesthetic high-gloss surfaces.
ARO-TEC prioritizes high quality and precision, a commitment underscored by our DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification. We combine decades of experience with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to significantly improve the functionality and lifespan of your tools.

Hochglanzpolituren
High-gloss polishes aren't always high-gloss. The quality of a high-gloss polish depends on the machining process, the type of steel, and the pre-treatment. Using our custom-designed sample plate, you can compare and select from a variety of polishes on a table displaying Ra and Rz values on a plastic plate. This is especially useful for design and project management when communicating with customers.

Line polishing
Polishing compounds of all grit sizes for a smooth surface. For surface preparation, improved demolding, or aesthetic reasons. Using our proprietary sample plate, you can compare and select from a variety of polishes on a table with Ra and Rz values printed on a plastic plate. Especially useful for design and project management when communicating with customers.
Demolding Optimization
Our demolding polishing process delivers high-performance, functional surfaces for tool and mold making. The goal is not just visual brilliance, but a technically optimized surface that ensures reliable and consistent demolding of components. Through precise manual and machine processing, tool surfaces are refined to achieve the following: • Friction is minimized • Adhesion is reduced • Cycle times remain stable • Rework of the plastic part is avoided This results in measurable added value for production and tool life.

Microscopic examination
Our Stereo-Dynascope microscopes allow us to process even the smallest surfaces at 40x magnification. This helps prevent edge damage, especially with minimal parting lines.

Sample plaque
Polishing. Everyone knows it exists. But everyone has a different experience with polishing. For some, it's too matte. For others, it's too smooth... Of course, plastics require different polishing than machined parts. But how do you decide on a standard? The surface finish can at least be measured and determined using the Ra or Rz value. However, a turned or milled surface with an Rz1 value, as indicated on the drawing, won't look exactly as the customer wants. We smooth out surface defects like waves or steps caused by turning, EDM, or milling, and create the desired gloss and smoothness. Feel free to order a free sample!

High-gloss flat lapping
High-gloss lapping allows us to produce a parallel, wave-free and (almost) perfect surface by machine.

Surface grinding
Surface grinding allows us to roughly pre-grind or parallel grind large damages or dents in a wide variety of components.
On-site polishing
With on-site polishing, we offer fast and precise surface finishing directly at the customer's location. No tool removal, no lengthy downtimes, and no unnecessary transport costs. Applications include: • Removal of pressure marks, scratches, and blemishes • Demolding problems during ongoing production • Gloss adjustments and repolishing • Surface finishing Using mobile precision technology and expert craftsmanship, we selectively refinish surfaces – from functional brushed finishes to high-gloss visual surfaces. Our primary goal is: To quickly return the tool to production, ensure quality, and minimize downtime. We stand for flexible deployment, technical expertise, and flawless results right where production takes place.
