Polishing. Everyone knows it exists. But everyone has a different experience with polishing.
For some, it's too matte. For others, it's too smooth...
Of course, plastics require different polishing than machined parts.
But how do you decide on a standard?
The surface finish can at least be measured and determined using the Ra or Rz value.
However, a turned or milled surface with an Rz1 value, as indicated on the drawing, won't look exactly as the customer wants.
We smooth out surface defects like waves or steps caused by turning, EDM, or milling, and create the desired gloss and smoothness.
