Planova®: Bio-based and biodegradable PLA films
With our innovative Planova films, based on PLA, we are setting new standards in this area. These are an integral part of our sustainable product range.
PLA is a type of bioplastic. This term refers to plastics that are made from renewable raw materials as well as those that are biodegradable or compostable.
PLA is made from sugar cane or corn starch, for example, and is therefore industrially compostable and decomposes under certain conditions into CO2 and water alone.
Material with a sustainable future:
SÜDPACK Planova films reduce the CO₂-footprint, decrease the need for finite, petroleum-based raw materials, and thus protect the environment and climate. In addition, the films are food-safe (FOOD CERT).
At the POS, the bio-based films impress with their high transparency and gloss, pleasant feel, and diverse design options.
