FlexCell - Flexible automation on minimal floor space

The FlexCell from WITTMANN BATTENFELD Germany combines maximum efficiency and high cost-effectiveness. The FlexCell automation cells are space-saving and incorporate a protective enclosure, linear robots, and conveyor belts in a single compact unit.

The FlexCell is modular and retrofittable, suitable for injection molding machines of all brands, and can be integrated into existing production facilities. There are three versions – Basic, Primus, and Plus – that cover various injection molding applications, from simple pick-and-place tasks to the integration of downstream processing units such as inline recycling or packaging. The modular design allows for customized customization.

The cells dock directly onto the injection molding machine and allow production with the machine safety door open, bringing the automation particularly close to the clamping unit. In the Primus and Plus versions, the protective enclosure is mounted on the conveyor belt and does not require a separate footprint.

All automation components are securely enclosed, contributing to greater work safety and more efficient setup processes. Temperature control units can also be integrated beneath the conveyor belt to save space. The tool compartment is easily accessible for manual intervention as well as maintenance and repair work. The FlexCell is characterized by short delivery times and an excellent price-performance ratio.
