Is die casting too heavy, too expensive, too prone to corrosion? Bring your component to booth 21-0138. We will test directly at the booth whether metal can be replaced by high-performance plastic – with tooling and series production from a single source.

Many metal and die-cast parts have remained unchanged for years, just as they were originally designed. Yet, modern high-performance plastics can often perform the same tasks – and more. The advantages of substitution:

- Up to 50% less weight
- Lower unit costs due to the elimination of rework such as deburring, drilling, or coating
- No corrosion - Functional integration: Multiple individual parts become one component; clips, threads, or inserts are directly integrated
- Visible parts with a metallic finish upon request.

Our offer at KPA 2027: Bring your component with you – ideally along with a drawing, information on operating conditions, and your annual production volume. Our materials and tooling experts will provide you with an initial assessment directly at our booth:

- Is substitution technically feasible?
- Which material is suitable
– for example, PA6.6-GF30, PPA, PPS, or polyketone?
- What needs to be considered in terms of design and tooling?

We will tell you honestly if plastic is not the better solution. Because not every metal part should be replaced. If it is a good fit, we will guide you through the entire process from a single source: plastic-compatible component design, filling simulation and FEM calculation, prototypes, in-house tool design and construction, right up to series production on 19 injection molding machines (35–300 t) – from a few hundred to two million parts.
