Extensive investments in space, equipment and personnel: Servomold is increasingly focusing on medical technology

Expansion of the site, which now covers a total of 900 m², of which 750 m² is production area. Within just six months, a fully air-conditioned production cell and a high-precision 5-axis milling machine were installed.

Servomold, a specialist in the automation of injection molds, is strengthening its focus on medical technology with a major expansion. The company invested almost 5 million euros in expanding its site to 900 m² of total space, 750 m² of which are dedicated to manufacturing. The expansion includes a fully air-conditioned manufacturing cell, a high-precision 5-axis milling machine for micrometer-accurate components and an air-conditioned measuring room with the latest testing technology.
The number of employees was increased from 25 to 35 highly qualified specialists. The medical technology share of sales rose to 60%, while the remaining 40% is accounted for by pharmaceutical, fluid and automotive technology.
An important milestone was the development of the servo-electric SLY core pulls, which were presented at Fakuma in 2024. These units, developed in collaboration with medical technology manufacturer Ypsomed, are characterized by precision and cleanroom compatibility - particularly important for applications such as auto-injectors. By the end of 2025, Servomold plans to deliver over 1,000 of these units annually.
In addition to the SLY core pulls, Servomold has expanded its portfolio to include other cleanroom-compatible products such as servo linear actuators (SLA) and servo screw actuators (SSA). With this technical equipment and the expanded team, the company sees itself as optimally positioned to further expand its leading position in the automation of injection molding tools.
