Head of Material Hub

You will further develop the Future+You Material Hub in OWL into a vibrant hub for sustainable materials innovation. This will involve combining materials expertise with strategic thinking, an understanding of design and a drive for innovation. You will build relevant networks, curate new material-related topics and strengthen the Hub in terms of organisation, content and communication – as an internal centre of excellence and a visible meeting place for companies, partners and future-oriented topics.

As a product development, design and innovation agency, we work with international corporations, medium-sized companies and well-known brands. With the Material Hub, we are creating a new space in OWL dedicated to the future of materials.

You will work closely with the design, strategy and innovation teams to further develop the Material Hub both as an internal centre of excellence and as a visible external meeting place.

The role combines material expertise, strategic development, network building and visible communication. You will not only further develop the Material Hub organisationally, but also shape its content to establish it as a relevant hub for sustainable material innovation.

What you can expect

•Establishing and further developing the Material Hub
•Researching, screening and evaluating innovative, sustainable materials
•Developing a curated physical and digital materials collection
•Translating material innovations into applications for product development, design and CMF
•Conceiving workshops, presentations and networking formats
•Collaborating with companies, research institutions and regional stakeholders
What you should bring to the role

•Experience with materials, material innovations or material-related product development
•Enthusiasm for sustainable, circular materials and their potential
•Enjoyment of communication, networking and knowledge transfer
•Proactivity and a desire to actively help shape a forward-looking project
•Very good German and confident English
Important

Requirements

•On-site presence in OWL, at least 3 days a week
•Start date: 1 June 2026
