About us

Plastic at its best

“Plastic at its best”: According to this principle, Weiss is presenting its expertise as a manufacturer of sophisticated, customer-specific injection molded parts in the trade fair showcase at the KPA. The company, a specialist in plastic injection molding since 1966, develops and produces plastic components that are characterized by special requirements, for example in terms of dimensional accuracy, functionality and appearance.

Weiss covers the entire value chain: from intensive advice to customers during the product development process, through the development and construction of the injection molding tools and the actual injection molding, right through to complex assembly, labeling and in-line testing processes. Production takes place in Illertissen or in Györ/Hungary. Assembly devices developed in-house also solve very demanding tasks in handling and testing technology. The level of automation is adapted to the quantities to be produced, and state-of-the-art CAX tools, among other things for simulating the injection molding process, create an important prerequisite for the production of components in “Class A” quality.

Weiss is currently working on numerous new projects, using new technologies and opening up new customer groups in what is still the largest user sector, the automotive industry, but also, for example, in medical technology and intralogistics. A rapidly growing segment is electromobility, for which Weiss produces, among other things, sensor housings and plugs with integrated current-carrying contacts.

Another advantage from the customer's perspective when working with Weiss: Depending on the requirements profile and desired level of automation, the injection molded components are manufactured in the main plant in Illertissen or in the production facility in Györ, Hungary, which was founded in 2007. Both plants have been repeatedly expanded in recent years and kept up to date with the latest technology. In total, Weiss employs around 260 people. The machine park currently includes 93 injection molding machines with locking forces of up to 4,000 kN and for injection weights from 0.01 to 1,400 g.

Jürgen Weiß, managing partner: “From our point of view, the KPA offers a very good opportunity to present our very special know-how to the specialist audience. We look forward to the trade fair and discussions with experts and potential new customers.”
