Silicone sample plate 3.0
Revolutionary marking technology and impressive visual effects in the new silicone sample plate 3.0! Joint developments from starlim, the world’s largest silicone injection molders, and the renowned Reichle Technologiezentrum have moved to the next level. Technical know-how in the area of silicone injection molding gained by starlim over many years aids innovative adaptations in the area of silicone articles. Femto laser technology employed by Reichle enables the integration of holograms, color effects, textures without depth and particularly high surface qualities in molds. And the results of bundling this expertise: the silicone sample plate 3.0. Innovative marking options The new silicone sample plate 3.0 offers a few remarkable highlights. With dimensions of 120 x 160 mm and a thickness of 2.7 mm, it is now available in two colors: elegant black and a cool white. Both variants impress through a new property for silicone, as they contain a color changing additive. This additive facilitates the individual marking of silicone components with a laser to create serial numbers, product information or decorative elements. Depending on the individual color chosen, it is possible to select a color change to black or white, thus creating an optimum contrast after the laser process. According to ISO 10993-5, the laser changing colors employed are harmless when in contact with skin (cytotoxicity) and approved by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the FDA and USP Class 6. Design meets utility A particular highlight is the integrated lenticular image. Different motives become visible on the same surface when the plate is tilted. In addition, the sample plate 3.0 offers numerous 3D structures with hologram surfaces. These innovative features enable the creation of unique hallmarks in silicone components, thus ensuring their authenticity.

Production
Our specialized solutions for the automotive supply industry include the development of sealing systems for connectors that offer maximum reliability and durability. These sealing systems contribute to the safety and efficiency of our customers' products. In the field of medical technology, we attach great importance to precision. We manufacture high-precision seals, valves and diaphragms for manufacturers of medical components that meet the stringent requirements of the industry. Our products guarantee maximum functionality and safety in vital applications.

Silicone Micro Molding
Our standard production molding produces components with weights greater than 10 mg. Since the rules of the game are completely different when it comes to silicone components under 10 mg, starlim’s definition of micromolding begins here. Silicone micro molding is a specialized manufacturing process employed to produce extremely small precision silicone components. It is a further development of the classic injection molding process where the focus is on the processing of silicone in microscopic dimensions. We at starlim are capable of manufacturing micro-silicone components weighing less than 10 mg with precision undercuts and indentations. The smallest component manufactured to date by starlim for the medical sector only weighed 0.00049 g. It is difficult to find a comparison that matches this. 0.0005g is roughly equivalent to the weight of two grains of salt or the wings of a fruit fly. We are convinced that even smaller components can be created. Micro injection molding at starlim enables the production of extremely small, high-precision components for sophisticated applications in medical technology, microelectronics and the mobility sector. We employ the latest production technology to produce microstructured components, ultralight microform parts in the milligram range and micro-precision molded parts with tolerances in the µm range.
