HEXPOL TPE GmbH
About us
We were one of the first companies to produce TPEs in Europe and more than 50 years later the possibilities still inspire us - yes, we are self-confessed TPE freaks!
Our international teams work with customers around the world, developing new polymer combinations and creating tailored materials that are safer, more durable and more sustainable.
Our location in Germany started developing soft PVC compounds in 1965 before we switched to thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) due to growing customer demand. This means that HEXPOL TPE GmbH can offer both customised, flexible PVC and TPE (SBS, SEBS and TPO) along with a full range of other polymer solutions, including colour and additive masterbatch, cork compounds and TPU.

Lifocork Biocomposite TPE
Lifocork biocomposite materials combine the sustainability, low weight and feel of natural cork with the processability of plastics. Lifocork is suitable for a wide range of applications, with new ideas being introduced every day. Its comfortable feel and non-slip texture make it a good choice for handles and grips, where it has been used in sports equipment, tools and household items. Lifocork has also been used to manufacture bowls, trays, boxes and plant pots and toys. In 2K applications, the material can be overmoulded or co-extruded onto TPE, PP or PE. This allows for sophisticated designs and enhances consumer appeal with the integration of a soft-touch area. Plates, belts, endless tapes and tech profiles can be manufactured from Lifocork via extrusion. You also get a damping effect for orthopaedic shoe lifts by foaming Lifocork. We offer coloured Lifocork compounds or it can be easily coloured using a standard PE masterbatch, opening up even more design possibilities.

Dryflex Circular TPE
We’re enabling circularity, transitioning from virgin fossil and lowering CO2e with the Dryflex Circular range of TPE and TPV materials with recycled content. Dryflex Circular TPE with PCR (Post Consumer Recyclate): TPE and TPV materials. The recyclate source includes recycled PP from end-of-life vehicles and household waste. Depending on requirements, grades are available containing up to 80% PCR content. Hardness ranging from 40 shore A to 60 Shore D. Natural, grey and black. Dryflex Circular TPE with PIR (Post Industrial Recyclate): TPE materials. Recyclate source includes hygienic and medical applications. Depending on requirements, grades are available containing up to 95% PIR content. Hardness ranging from 35 shore A to 65 Shore D. Natural, black and coloured. Dryflex Circular TPE with MWR (Maritime Waste Recyclate): The recyclate source for our MWR TPEs is post-use maritime ropes. These could previously have ended up in the ocean or on landfill. Depending on requirements, grades are available containing up to 40% MWR content. Hardness from 40 to 90 Shore A. Green, mint and black colours.

Lifolit soft PVC
Lifolit is a family of high-quality, soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds, custom formulated to your requirements. We’ve been developing PVC compounds since 1965 and continue to engineer new solutions to address current and emerging market demands. To address consumer concerns over the potential health and environmental risks of certain plasticizers used in the manufacture of PVC compounds, we have developed the Lifolit range to include several non phthalate alternatives. This helps our customers to comply with tightening regulations governing the use of phthalates. Particularly in the toy and childcare market, where non phthalate compounds have become the industry standard in response to directives such as EU 2005/84/EC. We work with a number of raw materials and plasticizers to give the best performance / cost ratio while always keeping in compliance with the different levels of phthalate use. This includes DEHP free PVC as well as grades that are considered low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

Dryflex Green TPE
Dryflex Green is a family of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds containing raw materials from renewable resources such as plant and vegetable crops. So far we have developed several series with amounts of renewable content to over 90% (ASTM D 6866) with hardnesses from 15 Shore A to 60 Shore D. We’re part of a movement that’s re-thinking how we design, make, re-use and recycle plastic materials and products. As most conventional plastics are derived from oil, a diminishing resource, we’re offering a more sustainable approach. Dryflex Green TPEs are extremely versatile. With our compounding wizardry we can make them soft and grippy or silky-smooth, we can customise colour, flexibility and hardness.

Dryflex TPE
Dryflex is a growing portfolio of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) materials based on TPS, TPO, TPU and TPV technologies. They are used for consumer, construction, industrial, electrical and automotive applications.
