Golden Compound is an innovative manufacturer of sustainable biomaterials with a unique focus on sunflower seed hulls.
Our environmentally friendly materials are ideal for injection moulding and thermoforming applications and offer a wide range of applications - from compostable coffee capsules with excellent barrier properties to dishwasher safe biomaterials. Our portfolio is complemented by the GC pro line of recycled polypropylene and the GC green line of biodegradable materials based on bio-PBS. We support our customers with innovative solutions that combine environmental responsibility with the highest product quality.

GC green 71 MI T30
GC green 71 MI T30 is the only biodegradable biopolymer for injection moulding applications. It is both biodegradable and dishwasher safe. This material is ideal for sustainable products such as disposables, packaging and technical components. It is easy to process and is the perfect choice for food contact approved products.
GC green M2571 7G3 A
Our material, GC green M2571 7G3 A, has been specially developed for the needs of plant pot production and is currently being certified as OK-Biodegradable-Soil seal by TÜV Austria. This planned certification confirms that the material can be biodegraded in soil, making it perfect for the horticultural industry. It's got a high fibre content, so it can be processed at a low temperature and with a short cooling time, and it can be used to make functional and attractive plant pots that are also environmentally friendly. The material has a high proportion of bio-based components, making it a sustainable alternative to conventional plastics.
Certified Masterbatches
Our masterbatches come in 10 certified colours, perfect for making biodegradable products. TÜV Austria has certified them, so you can be sure they're top-notch and eco-friendly. You can add these masterbatches in up to 2% of the mix, and they're made from the base polymer Bio-PBS. If you're looking to be more environmentally friendly in your plastics production, these are the ones for you!
GC pro M35KC BO 1G3
The GC pro M35KC BO 1G3 material is made from high-quality recycled materials (PCR) and is great for the environment, with a low CO2 footprint. It's got 35% natural fibre, so it's not only eco-friendly, but also saves energy. Because it's processed at a lower temperature and cools quickly, manufacturers can optimise their production processes and reduce costs. It's perfect for making sustainable, high-performance products!
GC green 3082 MIF T13
OK compost HOME certified GC green 3082 MIF T13 is the material for our very first home compostable coffee capsules. It is suitable for food contact with dry foods and ideal for the production of caps and packaging without undercuts. The material consists of BioPBS, sunflower seed hulls and biodegradable additives. It has already proven its worth in many products.
GC green 3071 MI T6
GC green 3071 MI T6 is a biodegradable compound consisting of BioPBS, sunflower seed hulls and biodegradable additives. It has a high fibre content of 30% and actively contributes to the conservation of resources. It is particularly suitable for thick-walled products, as the fibres swell, preventing sink marks. It is also cost-effective, as it can only be processed at 180°C, enabling up to 30% faster cycle times.
