Gerco Technik GmbH – Drying, Conveying and More
Gerco Technik GmbH builds on a long-standing tradition. Its roots go back to Gerco Apparatebau GmbH & Co. KG, founded in the 1950s. Since the 1970s, the company has been developing and manufacturing innovative drying and conveying technology for the plastics industry. In 2016, following the transfer of business activities from Gerco Kunststofftechnik by the Scheffer Group, all production and commercial operations were consolidated under today’s Gerco Technik GmbH, and the company headquarters were relocated to Ennigerloh, Germany.
Through continuous development and the expansion into new markets, Gerco has steadily broadened its product portfolio. Today, the company distributes its products via its own sales representatives in Germany as well as across Europe and internationally. The product range includes desiccant and hot air dryers, conveying systems, dosing stations, and sprue pickers. In addition, Gerco develops customised solutions precisely tailored to customer requirements. As a distributor of Chem-Trend, the portfolio has been further expanded to include cleaning granulates and maintenance products such as release agents, cleaners, corrosion protection, and lubricants.

Conveying injector conveyor IF 01 / IF 03
The Gerco IF series injector feeders are designed for conveying all types of plastic granules. They operate according to the Venturi principle with compressed air and enable the automatic filling of GERCO dryers with a maximum individual container volume of 50 liters, as well as plastics processing machines. The GERCO granulate dryers feature special connection components that establish a connection between the conveyor and the dryer.

Conveying Universal Conveyor GDFuni
The Gerco GDFuni series vacuum conveyors are suitable for conveying both difficult-to-flow powders and plastic granules. They are equipped with a compressed air drive that enables automatic filling of dosing and mixing devices, as well as dryers, with powders and granules. The GDFuni achieves a maximum conveying capacity of up to 250 kg/h for granules.

Dosing Volumetric dosing device
The GVD volumetric dosing device is ideal for producing granulate and masterbatch mixtures in the range of 0.1 to 50 g/s (max. 180 kg/h). Thanks to its design and modular structure, it offers user-friendly operation and quick cleaning. The device consists of a base module to which the plastic granulate container and the dosing unit are connected. The control system is housed in a separate housing, and the digital display allows for easy adjustment of the dosing ratio. The GVD is suitable for both injection molding and extrusion lines.

The handling system is ideal for removing sprues or finished parts. It can be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements and wishes of customers.

Dryer attachment system TAS / TAS jet
The TAS can dry all plastic granules up to a temperature of 190°C. Its compact stainless steel design makes the device not only aesthetically pleasing but also ideal for industrial use. The modular structure of the drying system allows for optimal adaptation to various requirements. When mounted on the processing machine, the dryer can be automatically fed via an injector feed system (TAS jet). The dryer operates with expanded, deoiled, and dried compressed air. This compressed air is expanded in the dryer and heated by a heater. The heated air then flows through the plastic granules, removing the moisture. A microcontroller monitors the entire drying process. Using a proportional valve and a temperature sensor in the container, the required air volume is continuously monitored and adjusted to the process. This ensures gentle and energy-efficient drying of the plastic granules and prevents overdrying of the material. The large display allows for remote monitoring of the processes. If this is not possible, the control panel can be removed and placed within easy reach of the operator, which offers optimal operating comfort, for example on vertical machines.

Conveying two-station granulate conveyor
The ZSF series conveyors are used for conveying all types of plastic granules. The units are equipped with a side channel blower and are used for the automatic filling of two plastics processing machines. The GERCO granulate dryers feature special mounting elements for connecting the conveyor and dryer.

Determining Water Content in Solids The Hydro Tracer is a highly accurate absolute measuring device that measures low water contents in solids. It determines the actual amount of water present in the sample. 1. Graphic display on the PC and printout of measurement reports using a standard printer. 2. Easy to use. 3. Dryer attachment warm air dryer AWT
The top-mounted warm air dryers consist of an insulated container equipped with a permanently installed warm air generator. They are designed for drying non-hygroscopic plastic granules. These dryers can be mounted either on a roller frame or directly on the processing machines. They can also be automated with conveyors. An integrated temperature control system ensures that the non-hygroscopic plastic granules are dried with energy efficiency.
