Fkur Kunststoff GmbH
About us
FKuR Kunststoff GmbH (short: FKuR) is an internationally active development partner, materials expert, and provider of plastic solutions based on bio-based, biodegradable, and recycled materials. For 30 years, this owner-managed, medium-sized company based in Willich (North Rhine-Westphalia) has combined material development and technical expertise with the creation of resource- and circular-economy-oriented material solutions. With the goal of reducing the use of fossil raw materials and supporting the circular economy in the plastics industry, FKuR combines innovation and product quality with the development of material solutions tailored to various raw material concepts and end-of-life scenarios.
FKuR supports the plastics processing industry and international brand owners in the transition from a fossil-based to a more circular plastics economy, particularly through the selection of targeted materials. The selection is tailored to the specific application and the intended end-of-life scenario, including mechanical recycling or, for suitable materials, industrial composting. The goal is to reduce the use of fossil-based raw materials, keep carbon within the material cycle, and actively help shape the transition to a defossilized plastics industry. For FKuR, material solutions based on recycled content, bio-based raw materials, and defined end-of-life concepts are key building blocks for a more circular plastics economy.
The focus is on material solutions based on bio-based plastics, biodegradable and compostable plastics, PCR (post-consumer) recyclates, and recycled compounds. Depending on the material and application, they can help reduce the use of primary fossil-based plastics and address future requirements for circularity, CO₂ reduction, and resource efficiency.
