PET

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic produced by polycondensation from the polyester family.

PET withstands high mechanical stress, exhibits low deformation, absorbs minimal moisture, and is an ideal material for high-load sliding applications.

Characteristic properties:
Temperature resistance, continuous operating temperature -20°C to +115°C
Very high rigidity, very high strength and hardness
Excellent sliding properties (even in wet conditions)
Very good wear resistance
Constantly low sliding friction, very low sliding wear
Very low moisture absorption (0.5% at saturation)
Extremely low thermal expansion
Very good creep resistance
Excellent dimensional stability
Good electrical insulation properties
Good resistance to weak acids, alkalis, saline solutions, oil, and fuels
