Multi-couplings enable quick and error-free connection of multiple temperature control circuits with just one hand. Typically, this multi-coupling plate is screwed to the mold. In practice, this can lead to problems with space requirements during positioning. This should be considered and planned for during the design of new molds. However, injection molding tools are often retrofitted for use with multi-couplings.
Since the beginning of the year, Nonnenmann has been offering users a new mounting option for the multi-coupling on the mold with the Magnet Quick Holder (item no.: FL46605), making installation easier, faster, and more flexible.
The Magnet Quick Holder can be ordered from Nonnenmann as an accessory when purchasing a new multi-coupling or purchased as a retrofit kit. We offer the Magnetic Quick Holder suitable for the common multi-coupling series M009, M090, M109, M152 and M155. Four magnets are used per multi-coupling, which reliably hold the coupling and hoses to the mold with a high holding force. This magnetic solution can be used on the contact surface of the mold up to a temperature of 80°C. By mounting using the magnets, as an alternative to the classic screw connection of the multi-coupling to the mold, users have flexible positioning, as no threaded holes are required on the mold. Installation is quick and easy directly on the mold without the need for additional tools. This solution is also ideal for retrofitting molds from individual mono-couplings to multi-couplings. Contract injection molders also benefit from this, as the mold temperature control supply can be flexibly adapted to their own machine conditions.
