Laser-specific Compounds

In laser welding, different parts, usually a housing and a housing cover, are firmly joined together to form a whole. In the process, the surface of the of the enclosure melts and is permanently bonded to the lid.

In order to fulfil this task reliably, the compound for the housing cover is predominantly coloured with translucent colourants, while the compound for the housing is coloured with opaque colourants. The formulations for these laser-weldable compounds are specially developed at Sattler to achieve barely visible colour differences.
