Apprenticeship as a Process Technician – Plastics and Rubber Technology

Process technicians process and prepare plastics for production and ensure smooth manufacturing operations. They set up fully or semi-automated machines, program and operate high-tech production systems, and monitor both processes and equipment. They manufacture plastic components according to specifications and are responsible for checking and maintaining product quality.

During your apprenticeship, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of different types of plastics and learn how to select suitable materials for specific products. You will be trained in manufacturing components from metal and plastics, analyzing and testing material properties, and forming and joining plastic parts. In addition, you will learn how to read and interpret technical documentation, prepare metal materials, operate production systems, plan and control workflows, and set up and monitor measuring and control equipment. Machine maintenance and the principles of quality assurance are also key elements of the training.

We offer experienced trainers, supportive and motivated colleagues, and a varied field of activity with responsible tasks. After completing your apprenticeship, you will benefit from strong prospects of permanent employment, long-term career opportunities, and a wide range of further training options.

We are looking for candidates who show genuine interest in the profession, possess manual skills, and demonstrate motivation and a willingness to work as part of a team. A responsible approach to equipment and resources as well as at least a secondary school diploma are required.
