Products & services

From granulate to complex series part - metal, polymer or elastomer
Manufacturing of complex geometries in our injection moulding technologies. It does not matter if you need metal or polymer parts, we manufacture large quantities fully automated. From overmoulded inserts to exotic materials such as titanium and hard metals, we manufacture your components in series.
Prototyping using 3D-printing
Our 3D-printing machine allows us to manufacture your prototype parts. This granulate printer is built for using the same granulate material as is applied in metal injection molding, polymer injection molding and additionally hermoplastic polyurethane materials can be processed. Just contact us with your prototypes, we offer the best material and the optimised production technique.

Metal injection moulding-MIM: innovative technology for manufacturing small, complex metal series parts
MIM technology for the series manufacturing of your complex metal parts. In the MIM process metal powder is mixed with polymer binder. This so-called "feedstock" is injection moulded on a conventional injection moulding machine. The result is a "green part", consisting of 60 vol% metal powder and 40 vol% binder (polymers and waxes). After injection moudling the main binder component is removed in a debinding step and sintered to >97% of the corresponding material density. During the sintering step the part shrinks as it can be observed in the picture above. With this innovative technology complex parts with tiny structures can be manufactured in high quantities. Just contact us, we support you in optimizing your parts with our technology.

Polymer injection moulding: We manufacture your components
Series production of complex polymer components. We are completely in our element when it comes to demanding plastic injection molding. At Zimmer all common thermoplastics, from standard to high-performance plastics are processed. Fully automatic production with handling systems for part removal and QA testing guarantees economical production of your parts. We also have experience with the overmolding of various insert parts such as threaded bushings, electronic contacts, circuit boards and much more. These and much more are the reasons why we supply almost all industries as a reliable partner: Automotive industry Aerospace mechanical engineering Medical technology Construction industry Electrical engineering Jewelry and watch industry Furniture industry Materials: Partially crystalline thermoplastics, such as POM, PE, PP, PA, PBT and PET, amorphous thermoplastics, such as ABS, PC, PMMA, PS, SAN and PEEK Automated production in plastic injection molding: The series production of plastic components at the Zimmer Group is fully automated, including tool removal and storage. This allows us to achieve optimal process optimization for all large series, which is reflected in the results of the integrated

Fast clamping Systems: Reduced st-up times for tool changes
No matter whether in plastic injection molding, metal powder injection molding or on die casting systems. Our quick-clamping system saves you time and money when changing tools Factors such as efficiency and flexibility are playing an increasingly important role in modern production processes. This demand for flexibility means that injection molding companies face the constant challenge of ever smaller batch sizes, the desire for ever smaller inventories and just-in-time deliveries. A key factor in such flexible production processes is the minimization of machine setup costs and thus significant time savings in the changeover process in order to ensure even more productivity and thus added value in a secure process.

Manufacturing of assemblies
We develop, manufacture and assemble your complete systems and assemblies. Just contact us, we will find the reight materials and manufacturing processes to provide a finished solution for Your company.

Elastomer technology: We manufacture your elastomeric parts
At Zimmer we use the transfer molding process for individual and small series production of elastomer components In the area of elastomer technology, the Zimmer Group produces sophisticated workpieces made of elastomers. In addition to the transfer molding process, in which the elastomer is inserted into a tool, pressed into shape with a stamp and vulcanized under pressure and heat, we also use the injection transfer molding process. Here the raw materials are pressed into the tool on an injection molding machine and vulcanized there. With these two processes we process a wide range of elastomers such as NBR, silicone, EPDM, FPM or polyurethane. There are wide limits when it comes to quantities and dimensions, because we produce almost any desired quantity, from special solutions in one piece to medium-sized small series to large series with more than 10,000 pieces. Materials: Nitrile rubber (NBR), silicone, fluorocarbon rubber (FPM), ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) and polyurethane.
