PlasmaTEC-X
Atmospheric Plasma System with Optimized Features Tantec's advanced PlasmaTEC-X system for atmospheric plasma treatments is based on the principle of DC high-voltage discharge at standard atmospheric pressure. Thanks to its flexibility, it can be easily integrated into robotic processes, used as a stand-alone device, or employed in various production processes. For effective plasma discharge from the nozzle, the correct air pressure range is essential. This is where the innovative AirTEC system comes into play, which is integrated into the PlasmaTEC-X generators. It continuously ensures a constant operating pressure and automatically adjusts it, regardless of the length of the attached nozzle. The combination of the AirTEC system with the universal power supply module makes the PlasmaTEC-X an especially user-friendly tool.

SpinTEC30
Experience the perfect blend of precision, efficiency, and versatility with the new treatment solution. Tantec’s excited to present our SpinTEC30, an innovative treatment solution engineered for accuracy and effectiveness. Tantec’s innovative SpinTEC30 plasma system offers a treatment width of 30 mm. With a working speed of approximately 25 m/min, this system is built for productivity. The adjustable rotating speed, ranging from 70 to 2800 RPM/min, allows for customization based on your specific needs. The direct brushless engine ensures reliable performance and longevity. The use of ceramic ball bearings contributes to the durability and efficiency of the system. The system has been designed with minimalism in mind, featuring only a few wearing parts. This not only reduces the need for frequent replacements but also contributes to the overall durability of the system. Despite its compact size, it does not compromise on performance. One of the key advantages of the SpinTEC30 system is how light it is. This makes it possible to use on lightweight robots, expanding its range of applications. Our direct engine design eliminates the need for a belt, resulting in less maintenance. This a significant advancement, as Tantec is the only ones in the market with systems that no longer depend on unreliable belts. The system is designed to be service-friendly. Most of the maintenance can be done by the customers themselves. In summary, Tantec’s new treatment solution offers a unique combination of compactness, lightweight design, durability, low maintenance, and cutting-edge technology.

VacuTEC
Designed for different parts Tantec’s VacuTEC Plasma Treater is designed for plasma treatment of a large number of different injection molded parts. The VacuTEC is available with both single and multiple tray configuration. Fast treatment and optimum adhesion The VacuTEC offers very fast treatment times and optimum adhesion properties for downstream coating, gluing, painting, and printing applications. Vacuum treating chamber In the vacuum treating chamber, a vacuum is built up to between 2 and 12 mbar before an electrical discharge is created through the integrated plasma electrode. Treatment cycle times are often short, between 2-120 seconds depending on the material and its formulation. An appriciated machine The VacuTEC is appreciated for its simplicity of operation, reliability in production, and fast process speed. Treating gasses such as argon and oxygen can be applied, but in most cases, this is not necessary due to the high power exposed by the plasma discharge. VacuTEC uses the advanced Tantec power generator HV-X series as a power supply and specially designed plasma transformers to provide voltage to the plasma electrodes.

CableTEC
Standard and Customised Corona Treaters. The purpose of surface treatment of polymer based materials is to increase surface wettability through electrical discharge. The low surface energy of polymer based substrates often leads to poor adhesion of inks, glues and coatings. To obtain optimum adhesion, it is necessary to increase the surface energy of the substrate to just above that of the material to be applied. Surface treatment with corona treatment, results in improved surface adhesion properties. The CableTEC is a unique and cost effective method for modifying polymer cable insulations (PE, PP, and PTFE), resulting in adhesion property optimization of printing inks and coatings onto the cable. The in-line treating system has been specifically designed by Tantec, to facilitate easy installation to new or existing production lines. A complete system includes; high frequency generator, high voltage transformer, air-cooled electrodes, ozone filter and a customized stand alone or bench-top treating station. CableTEC conforms to CE regulations and carries the CE-marking.

SheetTEC
The purpose of surface treatment of polymer based materials is to increase surface wettability through electrical discharge. The low surface energy of polymer based substrates often leads to poor adhesion of inks, glues and coatings. To obtain optimum adhesion, it is necessary to increase the surface energy of the substrate to just above that of the material to be applied. Corona treatment results in improved surface adhesion properties. Treatment of sheets and plates for this application may vary from 50 mm to 2000 mm, which gives the customer treatment flexibility of small and large plates. SheetTEC can be installed as a stand-alone unit or with a conveyor system for integration into existing production lines. SheetTEC is available as a single or double-sided surface treatment system. SheetTEC is equipped with metal electrodes for the optimized treatment of non conductive polymer materials.

FoamTEC
PP board is made of blended PP co-polymer and has one major disadvantage – low surface energy, resulting in poor surface adhesion for water-based adhesives and inks. Corona treatment systems by Tantec significantly increase surface energy and improve adhesion. Corona Treatment of Foam and Board. To optimize treatment and minimize waste it is important that the entire board surface is treated. To achieve this result, it is necessary to have the corona discharge around the board’s edge. Tantec solves this problem by increasing the thickness of the dielectricum layer, increasing the roller’s longevity and allowing corona treatment to the board’s edge. Increasing the insulation thickness will even out the discharge and ensure uniform treatment of boards up to 50 mm in thickness. The FoamTEC is available for single and dual sided treatment. Adjustable electrode which ensures max. flexibility. Electrode height adjustment with digital read-out. When treating corrugated board, it is important to limit the treatment inside the cavities to avoid loss of power and creation of ozone. The Foam TEC with thick insulation of counter electrodes limits treatment inside the cavities.

Extraction technology
Solutions for the Extraction of Ozone and Nitrogen Oxides In the context of plasma and corona treatment processes, larger amounts of ozone and nitrogen oxides (NOx) can be produced. At Tantec, we take the health aspects of these emissions very seriously and continuously develop customized extraction solutions that are specifically tailored to individual requirements. The FlensAir series from our subsidiary FlensTech for smoke and gas extraction is ideally suited for the direct capture of pollutant-laden air at its source. We offer specially developed system solutions and specific designs that are quickly and precisely manufactured using 3D printing technology. By using up to seven filter stages, particles, smoke, fine dust, and process gases are effectively removed and, after cleaning, safely exhausted, for example. After an extensive development phase, we proudly present our innovative and compact localized extraction system for plasma surface treatment. This specialized system effectively addresses the problem of eliminating hazardous gases such as ozone and nitrogen oxides directly at their point of origin. In our own 3D printing production, we place particular emphasis on materials with flame-retardant properties and high dimensional stability under heat. Thanks to our flexible manufacturing techniques, we can accommodate individual customer requirements and offer even more efficient solutions. Our extraction hoods are adaptable and are suitable for both single plasma nozzles and systems with multiple nozzles.
