Sattler KunststoffWerk GmbH
About us
We bring your desired colour into the plastic. Our plastic granulates are homogenously and solid-coloured as well as lightfast.
Sattler KunststoffWerk GmbH produces high-quality, solid-coloured thermoplastics compounds and recycling compounds for visible parts. Each Sattler compound is custom-coloured and compounded withpin-point precision in our production plant. In small and large quantities from 25 to 23,100 kg.
By using solid-coloured Sattler RecyclingCompounds, you will close the reusable material cycle. We utilize up to 100 percent secondary raw materials for this. The quality level always meets your requirements - exactly as with compounds made from virgin materials. So, you create value through sustainable production.
Since 1965, Sattler KunststoffWerk GmbH has been a player in the compounding business - in particular the colouring of thermoplastics to manufacture solid-coloured plastics granulates for direct use in injection moulding for the production of visible parts. Based on the dialogue with our customers, we develop formulations for electrotechnical applications in domestic and building services engineering, medical technology, mechanical and plant engineering as well as for writing instruments. Our compounds are manufactured precisely according to customer requirements with individually developed formulations. In addition to the colour, flame retardants, impact modifiers, laser-specific additives, germicidal additives etc. can be added to the formulations. Plastics raw materials, colourants and all other additives are first premixed, subsequently homogenised in the melt and then granulated. Each mixture is tested during production to ensure that the quality requirements agreed with the customer are met. We generally do not use masterbatches - whose composition is unknown to us.

Sattler RecyclingCompounds for Visible Parts
Creating value through sustainable production: By using solid-coloured Sattler RecyclingCompounds, you will close the reusable materials cycle. We utilize up to 100 percent secondary raw materials for this. The quality level always meets your requirements - as with compounds made from virgin materials. Compounding and recycling since 1965: Since the beginning of our production activities, we have practised resource-saving handling of plastics raw materials. In addition to the production of coloured thermoplastics granulates or compounds from virgin materials, we also produce compounds from secondary raw materials using a recycling process. The quality level of our plastic granulates meets the requirements for visible parts 100 percent in all cases, even for colour-sensitive applications such as assembly parts in home and building technology. Sattler Recycling Compounds are always made from regrind obtained from unmixed production residues. As with our compounds made from virgin material, the formulations of the recycling compounds are also individually adapted to the specific production conditions and applications at the customer's site. That is why our thermoplastic granulates are always ready for your applications immediately. 4 Parts. 3 Polymers. 1 Colour.
Do you manufacture assembly parts from different polymers - and the entire part is supposed to have a uniform colour? This can be achieved with homogeneously compounded thermoplastics granulates in the customer's desired colour. Assembly parts that consist of different polymers and whose inherent colours differ significantly from each other can be produced in a uniform colour by using solid coloured thermoplastic compounds. By contrast to the process of self-colouring in the injection moulding machine when using masterbatches, even the slightest colour differences may be reliably compensated for when colourants in powder form are compounded into thermoplastics granulates. As a result, the granulates are visually uniformly coloured.

Laser-specific Compounds
In laser welding, different parts, usually a housing and a housing cover, are firmly joined together to form a whole. In the process, the surface of the of the enclosure melts and is permanently bonded to the lid. In order to fulfil this task reliably, the compound for the housing cover is predominantly coloured with translucent colourants, while the compound for the housing is coloured with opaque colourants. The formulations for these laser-weldable compounds are specially developed at Sattler to achieve barely visible colour differences.

Thermally conductive and electrically insulating at the same time
Thermally conductive and electrically insulating at the same time: In contrast to metallic materials, both properties can be combined in thermoplastics compounds. Sattler Compounds are always coloured according to customer specifications. In this way you receive high quality, and directly processable plastics granulates. Our Ekalon® PC compounds are also flame-retardant and UL-listed.
