About us
Asma polyurethane at its best – from 1 to 1 million pieces. Asma specializes in polyurethane elastomers: development, casting, and mechanical finishing are all done in-house – from one-off pieces to large-scale production. We supply technical molded parts and coatings such as rollers, wheels, and roller coatings for various industrial applications. Our customized PU products, ranging from 1 g to 3,000 kg, offer top performance and proven properties such as abrasion and cut resistance, as well as high elasticity. Sustainability is our priority: where feasible, we utilize recoating and recycled materials. Asma is a medium-sized, second-generation family-run company with 150 employees in Lower Austria.

Technical coatings
Whether mold seals, lifters & grippers or conveyor chain plates etc. technical polyurethane coatings of Asma show worldwide quality & performance Polyurethane elastomer (PUR) is the perfect material for the wear-resistant coating of tubs, troughs, trays, gutters, containers, and conveyors and can be applied in either casting or spraying procedures. In any case, we offer wear-resistant coating for a variety of technical applications in industrial plants and machinery including chemically-bonded coating sprayed or cast onto metal surfaces. Rubberisation and Vulcanisation These terms actually describe the process of applying rubber in which a chemical cross-linking reaction takes place, the so-called „vulcanisation“ (this is performed inside an autoclave, under high pressure and temperature and with steam). As polyurethane elastomers are similar to rubber materials as far as use and processing are concerned, many of its technical terms have also become common in the world of PUR-processing. Polyurethane, however, is generally cast in its liquid state at a temperature ranging from 30°C to 120°C without applying additional pressure.

We process these high-performance materials using a casting or spraying procedure. In special cases, the casting can also be carried out on site, at the customer´s, using a mobile spraying device. Wheels and rolls in general We coat different rollers & wheels with our special PUR formulations to have the appropriate wheel for every each application PUR wheel coatings adhere to metal base bodies as well as to plastics such as GRP, CRP, polyamide, POM or PUR of a high degree of hardness (two- layer structure). We produce PU wheel coatings especially tailored to our customer´s needs in industrial application, for example driving wheels, heavy-duty wheels, forklift tyres, friction wheels, feed wheels, hold-down wheels, band saw wheels, pump wheels, pulleys, and many more rubberised wheels and rolls. We also coat your existing or new wheel base bodies. If necessary, we also offer complete wheels or complete rolls including ball bearings and services such as assembly and disassembly of ball bearings. For this, we use a broad range of PUR formulations, including Vulkollan. The hardness varies from 10 Shore A to 75 Shore D. Asma would be pleased to develop PU wheel coatings according your needs.
